In this course, students learn about different aspects of typing such as: keying techniques, proofreading, correcting errors, and formatting. Also students will do a career planning unit using Career Cruising software in their 1st semester. During the 2nd semester will get to do more computer software work such as Microsoft Office and Photo Editing work.

In this course, students learn about ALL aspects of Microsoft Office 2003. (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Powerpoint, and Outlook Software.)
MOS (Microsoft Office User Specialist) will be covered. MOS testing is now available at the high school. College-bound students will find this course beneficial because of the academic value it carries.
Web Design and Interactive Media Development 1 and 2

In this course, students will not only learn how to make web pages, but the class will be in charge of maintaining the school website. The students will use software such as Adobe Dreamweaver and new to this school in 2011, Microsoft Expressions. Both are advanced publishing software that are are at the students disposal. Also, for editing images and such for their web pages, they will be able to use editing software such as: Adobe Photoshop, Gimp, Flash CS3, Fireworks CS3, html and JavaScript programming.
Accounting
Class Length: 1 year
Accounting is a skill-level course that is of value to all students pursuing any business-related area. Computer applications will be integrated throughout the course. It is an essential course for college-bound students who plan to pursue business degrees. Office workers, small business owners, as well as college business majors, need to understand and communicate in that language.
Business and Family Law
Class Length: 1 semester
This course exposes students to legal terminology, concepts, and practices of business law. Also included is family law which deals with such issues as marriage, relationships between husband and wife, Parents and Children, and the changing American family. Case studies will be used in discussions.
Intro to Business
Class Length: 1 semester
This course helps to unlock the mysteries of what businesses are, how they work, and what impact they have on students' everyday lives. Topics concerning ethics, consumer rights and responsibilities, investing, banking services, credit, budgeting, insurance, and personal taxes will be covered. Students also explore steps they can take to prepare for future careers that interest them.

Resource/ Business Management

This course is designed to help students make important financial and economic decisions with assurance and competence. The class is structured based on knowledge and skills needed for work life and family life. The course includes the major concepts of individual and family resources including topics of food, clothing, shelter, health care, insurance, housing, recreation, transportation and job skills including resume writing. Students will learn to analyze policies that support consumer rights and responsibilities and analyze interrelationships between the economic system and consumer actions. After completing this course students will demonstrate management of financial resources to meet the goals of individuals and families across the life span.
